I also like the idea of tasks in be a pro. I got bored of BAP pretty quickly because it is too repetitive so this might breathe some life into it.

All this is rather annoying because NHL12 looks great but I normally only buy the games once every two years (so nhl 07, 09, 11) but I am REALLY tempted by 12.... sigh I barley get through a season these days before the new game comes out.

Indeed 06 did, as did some of the reallllllllllllly old mega drive ones lol but we haven't seen goalie fights in any of the more recent ones Smile

I finished a season on my NHL 11 just the other week. Came back from 3-0 down in the final to beat the Habs in 7 games Smile

Wow...12 looks great. I went off 11 for a long time, but went back to it recently. Can't beat Be a GM mode Razz

Things I like the look of:

1. hitting Patrick Kane into the bench EVERY SINGLE GAME
2. hitting Patrick Kane's helmet off EVERY SINGLE GAME
3. running Corey Crawford EVERY SINGLE GAME
4. Using Sedinery in the crease EVERY SINGLE GAME

Me likey Very Happy

All we need now are the bench-clearing brawls to be a part of it, and I'll never go to work again!!!

All gimicky really. Although the positioning and jostling in front of the net sounds like an important addition. They need to work on the AI and for the love of hockey please no more retard goalies who pass the puck straight to the opposition!

there is an easy way around that problem.....don't press pass when the goalie has it Smile

ha! No, in the normal mode it's ok. I'm talking about BAP where you have no control over the netminders. They turned ropey in NHL10 and things were so bad in NHL11 they made the entire BAP redundant very quickly for me. I think it could be a PS3 thing rather than the X-box though?

No idea, I don't play BAP Smile I do know that when I play Pete, Fleury has a nice habit of chucking me the puck Very Happy

Nope, it's Xbox too. Damned Turco, and then you get no experience because you got a minus. My biggest gripe has to be the camera angles, I actually have to pause the game if there is a turnover and wait for the camera to realise we have the puck in their end and slowly pan that way. And when it zooms in on you without the puck you have no way of looking behind you to see where you man is, Gah! Evil or Very Mad

And breathe.

I used to use the "Action" cam for BAP (i.e. the default) but for the very reasons you mention Gwilla I switched to the overhead one that's furthest away ("Ice"?), turned the zoom off and toggle between the puck and the player - all because you can see so much more. Although the default camera makes you feel much more closely connected to your player I can't see how your vision is going to be anything other than severely hampered!

One of my wishes has always been for a standard overhead view when taking penalty shots.
