The playoffs have started early

Flames vs Stars last night, we may have been on the losing end but that was one of the most entertaining games I have seen all season. The final mins of regulation and overtime had the feel of an overtime playoff game and could have gone either way. Both goalies made some monumental saves and neither deserved to come up short.

I would also like to say well done to Vincour for getting his first NHL goal. The guy was called up during the injuries and his strong play despite not getting any goals gave Crawford confidence in giving him important minutes. It was this strong play that helped Nieuwendyk feel he could trade Neal. Vincour had been playing a lot with Jamie Benn and creating some good chances while playing very well in his own end so to see him fire a rocket over Kippers shoulder made me feel very happy for him. Here's to many more!

Oh and for those who haven't seen.....go check out Ribeiros shootout move, it was just insane.

I saw that move. He's skating almost sideway and shoots the puck when it's nearly behind him.

Crazy. Also, St Louis attempt against the Hawks was pretty awesome too!

Do you think you can catch the sharks?

We can but I don't think we will. If this year has proven us anything it is that no lead is safe! I think the Sharks will win the division but I wouldn't be surprised if they took a mini slump and someone else did, right now any of the pacific could win it.

I've never written off the Sharks. They've always looked like the best team in the Pacific and it's no surprise to me that they've come through and got to the top of the division - a division I might add that has 5 serious play-off contenders in it!

Bloody Anitti Niemi!! I dropped him about 20 games into the season after it was clear he was the back-up in San Jose and look at him now. Really cost me that did.

The scary thing is Heatley, Marleau and Thornton have never really got going this season

That's the beauty of the conference structure right there, that only Anaheim currently sit out of the playoff picture. The NFL often has teams with better records sit out the playoffs because of the divisional structure.
