I think if I offered this to Mr C for Christmas dinner, he would divorce me.

And rightly so! I would say pour some nandos sauce on it but even that couldn't improve that monstrosity!

But brussels are plain wrong. I only tolerate them being anywhere near Christmas dinner because my mum says if there's no brussels there are no pigs in blankets and it wouldn't be Christmas dinner without pigs in blankets.

Considering i'm such a carnivore, I do love my veg. I can't think of any veg I don't eat (yes that includes broad and butter beans)...

That said - pigs in blankets aren't just for Christmas cheers

Pigs in blankets definitely on the menu for Christmas chez CJ. We've got three friends coming for dinner (not quite sure how that happened), and one of them is a nanny for a very (and I mean VERY) orthodox Jewish family, so she's played the Christianity card and got herself the day off, and is looking forward to some pig meat.

Sprouts are Satan's testicles and are not allowed in the house. Even grated and fried with pancetta, a la Nigella.

Excuse me Mr Buff, but I'm a laydee, and I don't fart (and even if I did, they would smell like roses and violets).

You chaps are just so uncouth. Very Happy

Oh, and I hate broad beans even more that I hate sprouts.

You are all uncouth. It's Kilted Sausages, not "pigs in blankets"
