Not for certain but I would hope so, surely it wouldn't make sense to limit your customer base again.....although this is the NHL we are talking about.

That is to have full downloads of every game though. I am sure a streaming service wouldn't be that much!

Yeah but with centre ice you could watch any game on playback after it had happened which is basically the same thing.

Not really because once your subscription end you have no more access. If you have downloads they are yours forever so naturally have a higher value. With centre ice you never owned any content.

Who wants to own an AHL game forever? Surely the default option should be a time-lapse model and that should be far cheaper. This download nonsense should be an optional extra or a premium package that you pay for. Dumb-ass AHL. Not getting my money.

I didn't say it was good value but technically is that not already a premium package?

As long as they bring out a cheaper streaming package with on demand then I can see the point in offering a download option as well.

Yes I know that. I said it Very Happy

True. I just gawped at that price. Even if I did want a premium package I would not pay that much for an AHL version. I worry how much even their standard streaming version will cost when launched.

Couple of interesting articles from Mike Heika one of the Stars insiders where he writes how each side sees these talks.

Well the promising direction the talks seemed to be taking has taken a rather swift nosedive and it looks like both sides are not talking now.....

College hockey for me. Go Eagles! Luckily the Boston College hockey team is way better than their football team which opened their season with a loss to the Miami Hurricanes at the weekend.

I saw today that Alberta has similar laws, so a Canadian Stanley cup winner is a certainty!
