Kovalev Traded to Pens?

The question mark is there because Eklund is reporting it on hockeybuzz...and we all know how reliable he is. I'm now waiting for TSN to report it. Many people saw it coming though, and it's a good move for the pens (depending on what they give up).

Travis Yost the Sens guy on hockeybuzz seems to say it's a 7th for kovalev!? surely ottawa could've got more for that?

OTT receives conditional 7th round pick for Kovalev. If PIT wins 1st round of playoffs and Kovalev plays 50 per cent of games, it's a 6th.

Very very good move by the penguins. Yes he's had a poor season, and he has a big cap hit, but surely a player of that magnitude, experience and possible ability could have fetched more

I think much the same. Don't know what the Senators are playing at, but they're making some 'interesting' moves this trade window!
