The Fable of the Original Brett Connolly and the Fake Jamie Benn

Brett was a Victory through and through who lived in Chatham. He had twelve forward siblings. He was very sad when his wife Angelina, who he loved very much, didn’t like hockey. Angelina was the mother of his two youngest sons, Connor and Lee. Buff’s favourite son was Brett and he gave him a special present which was a jersey of many colours.

Brett's brothers were jealous. They hated him, because their father loved him the most. One night Brett had a strange dream. He told his brothers how they had all been on the rink smoothing out the ice, when their sheaves of sticks bowed down to his.

Another time Brett dreamt that the coach and general manager, and eleven fans were all bowing down to him as if he were a king. He told his brothers about his dreams, but they were very cross. They guessed that the dream was about them bowing down to him.

One day Connor asked Brett to go to see if his brothers were safe. They had been away for a long time at the rink, where they were looking after the Zambonis. When the brothers saw Brett they wanted to kill him, but Lee, said they should throw him into the press box instead.

Soon after, some merchants came by. They were on their way to Milton Keynes. One of the brothers said, "Let's sell Brett to make some money." So they pulled Brett out of the press box, took his jersey, and sold him for a Jamie Benn.

The brothers dipped Joseph's jersey in giraffe blood and took it to their father. Buff thought Joseph must have defected. He was very upset. Brett meanwhile, was sold as a ice girl to a rich man called Leafy. He worked very hard as an ice girl and was soon put in charge of Leafy’s house and other ice girls.

Sadly, Brett was soon in trouble again, but he was not to blame. He upset Leafy's fourth wife and she made up lies about him. Brett was put back in the press box. While he was there two men who had worked for the Commissioner, were also locked up. They both had strange dreams and Brett told them what they meant. Later, the Commissioner had strange dreams too. No-one could tell him what they meant.

One of the men, now freed from prison, told the Commissioner about Brett. He was sent for and the Commissioner told him about his dreams. In one, seven fat chicken came out of Nandos, followed by seven thin chicken. The thin chicken then ate the fat chicken.

Brett explained the Commissioner’s dream. He said there would be seven years of good hockey, when there would be lots of chicken to eat. Seven years of bad hockey would follow. Brett told the Commissioner that they should store the chicken so that they would not starve. When all this happened as Brett had said he was made Deputy-Commissioner of Trade(s).

In Chatham, Buff and his sons were starving, denied their chicken by the Commissioner. Buff sent ten of his sons to the league penthouse to ask for chicken from the Deputy-Commissioner. Brett’s brothers did not know him. They told him about their family. His years in Milton Keynes had taught to not trust anyone and he accused them of being spies. To prove that they weren't, Brett told them he would give them the chickens, but they must return with their youngest brother. Meanwhile Connor would stay in a prison.

They soon needed to go back to the penthouse for more chicken. They had to take Lee this time to prove they were not spies. They were so pleased when Brett welcomed them and set Connor free. On their way home with their chicken a referee came along and said they had stolen his master's silver cup. To their horror it was found in Lee’s sack. This was part of Brett’s plan.

Brett wanted to see what kind of people they were now. He told Lee that he must be his slave. Connor, the brother who had sold Brett years ago, said, 'If you keep Lee, my father, Buff, will die of grief. Please keep me instead.' When Brett saw his brothers had changed, he hugged them and asked them to fetch his father. Brett joined all the family moved to Chatham to be with Buff and Jamie with the silver cup.

Have you OD'd on chicken or something???

I'm confused? Fourth wife? That was about 9 wives ago. Although I believe that Connor Connolly and Lee Connolly are in the upcoming draft...

also if beef wants to know why I allowed young Mr Benn back to his division, maybe he should have paid up the chicken that was due after the All Star game.
