After a shut out in game 1, it looked like taking the gamble on having the rookies leading the team was going to pay off. However, since then the team have struggled to a record of 3-5-1. The goalies have struggled for consistency and have had to be pulled 4 times already this season. Changes in net are expected to come in the next few games. Ryan Strome has been a big positive through all this. Playing on the second line in his rookie season he has 9 points in 9 games. Recent draft picks, Philip Castle and Mathew Dumbass both showed promise with good early performance, but have since struggled, and Nail Yakupov has failed to impress in his rookie season with just 2 points.

GM -Iggy has issued an ultimatum to the team. They have 11 more games to turn the season around or big changes will be made. Dumbass (18) Castle (18) Strome (20) and Yakupov (20) may all find themselves back on the farm if the Steves look like they will not be contending for the playoffs. If were not competitive in the pro league, we have to make sure our top prospects are given the best opportunity to develop.

The Steves put up back to back wins last night, including a 9-8 epic against the Sharks. Despite his best two games of the season, Shae Webber was traded to the brewers for Cam Fowler and a 1st round pick in next years draft.

Anton Babchuk has shown he is ready to step up and lead the teams D. Babchuk put up a career best 5 points against the Sharks. Mark Injay is ready to return from injury, and Festerling may hold onto his place on the pro team after impressing while filling in for Injay.

J-Iggy continues his obsession with high end draft picks.
