Before the leagues fifth year Bedford saw the Ducks franchise come to town and renamed the Brewers. The season started off slowly but the boys got their first win against division rival the Chatham Victory. The season saw the Brewers follow trends of winning with trends of losing and vice versa. Alas the season ended with 5th place division finish, 8th in conference, with a franchise record 41-41-0 season.

The year made stars of new acquisitions Wojtek Wolski and Rene Bourque, plus youngsters Cam Fowler, Victor Hedman & Max Pacioretty.

The farm team out of Biggleswade done well too. They went 47-30-5, finishing 2nd on the division and sneaking into the playoffs as the 4th seed. The Banshees went on to shock the top seed Matlock Leprechauns in six games. Fabian Brunnstrom, Martin Hanzal & Mark Scheifele were huge stars in the playoff run which came to an end in game seven of the conference finals against the division rival Bedwell Baby Beefs, a topsy turvy series which saw great efforts in the nets by both teams goalies.

Needless to say after the pro and farm team enjoyed their best seasons in franchise hostory the crowds in Bedford and Bigglsewade are hungry for the 2nd season of the Brewers/Banshees era.
