Brewers say goodbye Empty Brewers say goodbye

Post by CFCNick Thu May 17, 2012 3:11 am

It is with the deepest regret that the Bedford Brewers will say goodbye to 15 players who will depart the team before next season. But welcome five.

Brewers GM MockingJay33 revealed that goalie Brian Boucher; defensemen Kyle Cumiskey, Johnny Boychuk, Jamie Crapper, and Brock Beukeboom; centers I.P. Freely, Seymour Butts, Marcel Goc, and Michael Zigomanis; and wingers Colton Gillies, and Ruslan Fedotenko will not be offered new contracts after their current deals end this offseason.

Rookie defenseman Ryan Parent departed today as part of a trade with the Colombia Steves for Andrew Ladd who will provide much needed help on the wing.

Fabian Brunnstrom and Frans Nielsen join from Chatham along with the 12th overall draft pick for the Brewers first 1st rounder, 2nd overall draft pick.

Bob Ring and Ryan Strome head to Colombia with the Brewers 2nd first rounder, 3rd overall, for Rene Bourque and Joshua Bailey.

The news isn't a huge surprise as the Brewers look to begin the rebuilding process with 13 picks in tonights draft.
