Golf clubs being polished

Buff was left fuming after his team failed to win against the Monroeville last night. The Zombies, already eliminated from the play-off race and some 24 points back from the Victory, tied the season series up 3-3 to frustrate Chatham who could ill afford to lose the game. After busting their way through a horrendous schedule Buff had identified the five game stretch, of which this game was the third, as winnable. With the L Chatham’s play-off hoped all but disappeared. Despite an impressive 8-1-1 record before the game Chatham were still 5 points adrift of the play-offs. With just 8 games to go Chatham now sit 7 points back of the Iowa Chops who are on an impressive 9 game winning streak and are 5 points back from the Stevenage Beefs who also have a game in hand. With a punishing 5 game stretch against the Rex, Badgers, Buttercups, Crunch and Beefs many in the organisation are now resigned to another season of no play-offs despite recording the 6th best point percentage haul in the entire league.

In the game against Monroeville itself Tukka Rask starred with a gigantic 51 saves whilst Chatham’s goaltending once again let the team down allowing 4 of 23 shots to find twine. Grand Master Buff has often been blunt about the goaltending this season and observers will be watching closely to see how he deals with the situation next season.
