New Leafs Head Coach
Ok, post in here if you would like to be considered for the HC of the Leafs.
A couple of reasons would also be nice.
For me, I own a Leafs jersey, so this obviously qualifies me for the job. I have also been a season ticket holder to the Nottm Panthers for 3 of the last 4 years.

ANOTHER PANTHERS FAN!!!!!! (im a regular go-er myself too)
I think that more than qualifies you to coach the leafs. Just do not implement Neilsons 2 minute power-passing, behind the net strategy

Re: New Leafs Head Coach
I think I can do the job.
1. I've been to see them play (twice)
2. I've been to Toronto and can point to it on a map
3. I hate the Habs and can't speak French
If I was offered the job, my first priority would be to hire a decent goaltender.
Hah! It's in the bag.

Pleased for RC. It's a tough gig but he has a proven record with Burke. Hope the Leafs regain some form and kick on into the top 8. I'm really pleased with the way the Ducks have played since the appointment of BB but Randy was a very successful coach for the most part and will always admire him. I expect some/all of the Leafs players to get the hairdryer treatment regularly...

As Harry Redknapp is the 'peoples' choice for the England job, I thought I should tailor my CV to become the peoples choice for Toronto:
Dear Mr Berk,
My name is Leafygeeraffe
Giv me Maypole Leaf job. (i pay taxe).

There are some very strong candidates for the job in here. Although I do think Driz is probably a little bit over-qualified.

I think I should be the HC of the Leafs, as for a start, I support the Sheffield Steelers and am a regular attendee, therefore I've been to see a DECENT team, unlike the pair of you...

I think the Leafs coach should be humble and not have supported a team bankrolled by cash, but followed by loyal supporters who have seen trouble and strife, regardless of the mismanagement from the owners. Therefore, as a MK Kings season ticket holder, and now go-er of games to the MK Lightning the new coach should be Leafy. He's got the name right as well, like Arsene Wenger at Arsenal - Leafy Giraffe at the Leafs...

So you would change nothing then? Both teams have been "rebuilding" for the past 6 years
Buff is clearly your man. He talks in the 3rd person and has an excellent working relationship with the press secretaries. He also likes to poke fun at meatheads and despises the noisy French neighbours.

Hey, I take nothing away from the Giants, who were the better team, and will probably win a rightfully deserved title. The Panthers however, are not close to being a team that can challenge at the top. Last year, I think they were 4th? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they fell behind Sheffield, Belfast, and Cardiff.

Playoff champs. What's the point in winning the league if there is one more after it?

Re: New Leafs Head Coach
Not only that we where cup winners as well
Have to say though Belfast have played well this season. Cardiff where there last season, on the back of a stupid 21 game winning run.
But one question mr rocknrollnobody that I am curious to know is the Sheffield roster this season...... how where you guys at one stage 10 games in hand and are still 3 games in hand???? European travels or something else

Re: New Leafs Head Coach
They had difficulty getting the arena dates as there was a major event using the venue for about a month... The event escapes me

Re: New Leafs Head Coach
Bit of both really. We always get bumped for major stuff at the arena and we then have to try and grab IceSheffield. Sometimes it's not available so we end up a few games behind. And yes, earlier this year we were in Europe playing about a week of games.
The best bit is Jonzee, that if it was the other way round and the Steelers had won the playoffs, and the Panthers the League, then we'd be extolling the virtues of our victorious competition the other way around. That is what being a fan is all about sometimes.
At least we can both agree that the Blaze are utter pants.

The new Leafs head coach is....
Sportsportsport!
Congratulations/commiserations Pete!
Everyone else except Driz was overqualified (Especially CJ, who had actually seen them play!) and Pete got in there with the "I don't know what I'm doing" first.

Re: New Leafs Head Coach
In your first game, I think you should play Curtis Joseph in goal, and then utterly point-blank refuse to listen to people when they say he's long retired.
Then avoid all further questions about the fact that 'Joseph' looks a lot like Reimer wearing a replica jersey from the merch stand...

Have you ever considered being an assistant coach? You could go far with ideas such as those!
In fact why stop there, colton orr could shave his head and wear a sundin jersey!
