Just watching the Rangers game and it's been announced that Wilson has been given the boot by the Leafs. confirmation yet. (But it's been on the cards for a while).

Sacking someone a month before the end of the season is a bit odd.

I just read it after reading a comment on an article on the NHL website then checked TSN:

Apparently front runners are Dallas Eakins (from the marlies) and Randy Carlyle. Although it is strange that we sacked him before the Habs game tommorow and with a contract extension signed by wilson earlier in the season........
