Anyway back to McKenzie.

Three weeks to the deadline, and Toronto Maple Leaf fans will hate to hear this but there is a very real chance the team doesn't make a significant move between now and the trade deadline.

The Leafs, for the right top six forward, would consider trading a defenceman such as Luke Schenn

Considering one of those "top six" forwards you potentially identified was Ryan Malone you must be barking. Out of all of those mentioned only Bobby Ryan would pick my interest and that saga makes the Kovalchuk debacle look like a foetus.

Now I'm going to spend my time on more productive things like chasing up Eklund rumours.

The trade deadline is a time for complete garbage to be published. People will spout any old nonsense just to fill up columns. Pronger for Kronwall and a pick, Getzlaf for Carter, Luongo for Price, the suggestions are completely made up, and worse still, people read them and repeat them as if they're gospel truth.
