Pheasant Breasts
For lunch, this Sunday, I have 4 lovely Pheasant breasts. And, to be honest, I am not quite sure what to do with them.
In the past, I have seered them off in a pan, layered them with butter, wrapped them in bacon and roasted for 10/15 mins....But, this is getting a little 'same old'...if you get my drift..
Any ideas? Please.....

Get some breadcrumbs, oregano, cayenne, parsley and cumin and mix together. Coat pheasant in egg, then mixture. Deep fry.
Kentucky Fried Pheasant.
Posh version of KFC.
(Note - don't really try this - it will ruin a perfectly good bit of pheasant.)

You lot are no help whatsoever . Having said that, I went to look up the recipe I used a couple of years ago only to find it's pretty similar to what you already do.
Beef Wellington chez CJ on Sunday. Christmas lunch is always a bit hit and miss depending on the size of the hangover.

Re: Pheasant Breasts
But I was planning on turning up at your house! I'm rather partial to a bit of pheasant.
I did a Mexican themed Christmas dinner a few years ago. It was apparently very successful, but that could have been down to the volume of tequila and Corona which was drunk.
It is my proud boast that I have never cooked a turkey for Christmas, and then of course moved here and found myself agreeing to cooking a Thanksgiving dinner last year. Had absolutely no idea what to do, but luckily Delia Smith has an idiot-proof recipe.
This is the pheasant recipe I've used.

No idea about the pheasant but you can simply type it into a Google word search and voila...you have access to the biggest recipe book in the world. It's what i do when I want ideas/inspiration. You can also then pick and mix between various recipes.
Anyway, what's wrong with turkey?

'Anyway, what's wrong with Turkey?'
Ronnie, I'm a simple village boy, who as a youngster used to work on a poultry farm. I used to spend the week before XXXX hanging, drawing and plucking for about 18hrs a day. This was after 51wks of pulling dead chickens from battery cages, in various states of decay
Subsequently, I can't fucking stand chicken or turkey
Anyway, thanks to that obnoxious Scottish twat, Ramsey, I have a top recipe.
And all because I had to get my Alex Jones fix

Can't stand Gordon Ramsey and he's all over the bloody TV here. Him and Simon bleedin' Cowell and that smarmy bastard Piers Morgan. God, no wonder my TV is permanently tuned to the sports channels.
OK, I'm going to make myself look stupid here, but who the hell is Alex Jones?

Driz has a 'special' taste. Sometimes not to shabby - Zoe Salmon was one he took a shine to, and I can see why. But then he also likes Debbie Harry - not just the young Debbie Harry when she was nice, but the old 'molten waxwork' effect she has now. Bear in mind Driz is like everyones dad on here, just say there there and let him fall asleep in front of the Queens speech, when he wakes up he'll think he had a crush on Aled Jones...

Re: Pheasant Breasts
Too be fair, Iggy. That is hardly the best picture of her.
What you goodly people have to remember (and Leafy has), I am now of a certain age.
This means
a. They cannot be under 25 - young enough to be my daughter
b. Stunning - I know my limitations and cut my cloth accordingly...although Alex Jones is still way out of my league...as is Aled Jones!

Re: Pheasant Breasts
WTF is she wearing in that picture?? It looks like one of those beaded car seat covers.
And as someone who is probably pretty much the same age as Driz, a hockey player has to be over 25 to make my "cor, I don't half fancy him" list. Otherwise he goes on the "awww, can I adopt you?" list (currently occupied by Tuukka and Tyler).

Very true.
I keep seeing young lasses at the Garden with their "Tyler will you marry me?" banners. Mine would say "Tyler have you done your homework?".
