The 606HL Yahoo League

The 606HL Yahoo League will be up and running shortly. Those of you who have had your invites from Mr Homer, please accept, those of you new to this fella, find the link here

Our newer players are more than welcome to join, its basically the same old crowd just fighting for a different trophy.

Much like Mr Buffons league, let me know when you want a draft sorted (evening/weekend/which day) and I'll collate all the evidence and present an option or two to you good people.

One final note - this league will be run with integrity and honour, unlike that Original 606 league that is littered with corruption and villainy. Its run by a Pirate, no less.

Driz - your invite was sent out on the 1st by Homer. Did your BBC Micro not receive it?

Drafting is provisionally set as a live draft on 19 September at 9pm. If anyone can't make such or wishes a different time, please let me know and I'll sort somesuch out.

Excellent. But if that invite isn't in my in-box by the time I get home from work, there's going to be trouble. I'm not having some random trollop usurping my rightful place in the league.

Slip End Blues all signed up. That e-mail Leafy, originally directed me to Buff's league. It never gave me the option of your's, so I assumed it would arrive seperately. Logged in again this morning and bingo.

Its going to be a busy evening. Better make sure I go to Tring that weekend. 606hl draft at 9pm, then hopefully if we are done, the St Louis league which drafts at 1am...and I'm covering one of our drivers that week. Mrs Driz isn't going to be happy

I can change the draft date if needed Driz, I only selected 19th because its a good number. Mrs Giraffe isn't happy I've taken on the Commish role, but shes the wife now so she has to fall into place. Beer, hockey, Mrs. That order.

I am a bit preturbed by the omission of 'The Homers' so far. I hope Mr 606 is going to sign up soon...Infact I will go so far as to demand that he does...and quickly!!!

Ooh. Need to get my draft rankings sorted out. Autodraft for me again as I'm away that week. Going to Montreal and I'm trying to convince Mr C that he really does want to watch the Habs play Dallas in a pre-season game.

The league currently says we can't do the draft, as we have an odd number of teams...who are we missing this year?

Still no reply from Mr Homer (although he has said he doesn't want to this year), The Buttercups or the Nottingham Pens.

Can you set up a dummy team just to even things up and then pass it on to someone else to run?

Excellent! Right, off for breakfast and then a stroll round the fair city of Montreal. Found a fab sports bar last night which had plenty of Habs memorabilia on the walls and a digital clock counting down the time to the Habs first game of the season.
