Congratulations to the Scarabs and Forerunners for both breaking into playoff positions.

However

After showing great form and breaking into that sought after playoff spot the Forerunners have been dealt a massive blow at the beginning of a grueling schedule. Point a game D man Niklas Hjalmarsson has suffered a horrific injury after putting his body on the line by blocking a Derek Forbort shot, keeping him out for 3 weeks with severed wrist tendons. affraid

The franchise wish Niklas a speedy recovery and hope to have him back in the lineup sharpish.

In other news. The franchise are wanting to make slight tweaks to the roster. Aiming to strengthen the LW position mainly. Willing to ship out any pro LW and D man Paul Mara.

Its All Kicking Off

Last night during the Forerunners' victory over Wales Whales things got a little fiesty. What can only be described as a melee, took place at 15.31 of the first period with the Forerunners having 3 players ejected for instigating fights and Trevor Lewis gaining a major penalty for boarding. The only additional penalties from the incident going to the opposition, the most severe being a double minor for high sticking.

It's not quite clear what caused the players to kick off and it is totally out of character for this team but the crowd were buzzing and although being 3 players down from early on, the crowd managed to get behind the boys to bring home the win.

Morale in the dressing room is high right now with every single player willing to stick up for each other and lay their body on the line. All working for same goal. The PLAYOFFS.

Suspensions:

Mike Brown - 1 Game

Mixed Week for the Scarabs Franchise

Congratulations to Claude Julien and the boys who smashed a few franchise records in one game. Scoring the most goals in a game (8 ), most assists (16) and most points (24). Remarkably the boys managed to replicate the goal scoring record in the next game. There was also an unconfirmed record for the fastest goal in franchise history with big Z scoring on the 10 second mark at the beginning of the game.

However the Scarabs franchise couldn't wrap up a more than respectable week, with both the Pro and Farm teams losing. And what was more worrying was that 3 players were on the receiving end of Unsportsmanlike Conduct/Game Missconduct penalties in the one evening. It is unclear what sparked this uncharacteristic behaviour but it did leave farm team starting goalie Mikael Tellqvist with a 2 game suspension. However this will allow us to take a proper look at first year goalie Robin Lehner, a strong prospect for the future.

As GM of the Knights of St George, I would like to thank you for an incredible series. To come back from 3-0 down, and to outshoot me by c.30 shots in Game 7 but still lose, must be pretty tough to swallow. But you can be proud of your team's performance - a great showing from so many of your players. And if you look at the league leaders in blocked shots, you'll see that my D was over-worked!

Congrats on a fine season - I'm sure you'll be right up there next season too.

Unlucky Dan, I thought the series would be yours the way you stormed back.

It was a pretty good series. I didnt expect I would take it to a game 7 before the Playoffs started so I am relatively happy.

4 Seconds!!!

Is all it took for the Scarabs to score in their first game of the regular season. Big Z who has the 'C' for the second season in a row leading by example by getting the goal.

Can anyone score a goal quicker this season? Its going to be tough.

Great way to start the season against a strong rival. Unfortunately the Maine Men couldnt hold onto a 4 goal lead in the farm and subsequently the whole team have been headbutted by a naked Tony Pulis in the shower. I dont think they will let that happen again.
