NHL looking outdoors

So the nhl is apparently looking to play lots of games outdoors next year...

sounds like a bit of overkill to me!

Definitely think they are overkilling it, although does this mean we get more HBO 24/7 on hockey??

It does seem like they are trying to make up for lost revenue due to the lockout

I saw a rumour that they're hoping to eventually have every team play one per season. They'll make pairs up and have them alternate who hosts the outdoor game. Like, Philly-NJ, NYR-NYI, etc.

I hope that rumour came from Eklund... cause it sucks ass.

I heard they are thinking of changing the dimensions of the rink to resemble the shapes of ponds.

I heard they were gonna string up Bettman like a piñata over centre ice of every outdoor game so that players could take swings at him and the team that gets the most hits in wins the game.

What kind of sweets would fall out of bettman when hit?

Also if Columbus ever play outdoors they should circle the rink with jannons!
