What makes me laugh is the fact that it is well documented that the Leafs are one of the big earners in the league at least turnover wise (both on and off the ice!! ) and have a large support group in a small principality in the UK (it counts for a lot!) and yet no Lord Stanleys Mug since the 60's.

I might suggest that we need to move the Hockey Hall of Fame away from TO, as it seems that the Mug's prescence in the city the majority of the year is having an adverse affect on our success on the ice!

I'm hoping that the amount of Leafs fans here will, in true Butterfly Effect style, cause all of the other teams GM to become hypnotised in to trading some badly needed quality to the Leafs for 3rd round picks and the Monster.

Got stopped by the cops for speeding at 1.00am on the way to our alternative hotel (long story but it involved lots of swearing and loss of tempers)

You didn't decide to use your British / Yorkshire charm to smooth your way of it then CJ?

It worked with the cop. And we've been upgraded to a room with an ocean view. But it's not a lot of fun turning up at your hotel at midnight only to be told they've given your room to someone else so would you mind driving 15 miles to another hotel and come back in the morning.

Just another chapter for my book of disastrous holidays.

I've got three chapters on tents blowing away and/or filling with water. Then there was the time the carpark of the pub we were staying was full so the landlord told us to park on the street. The next morning we got up to find it was market day and the market stalls had been erected round our car.

I've just had to listen to a neurotic doris spout on, over dramatising nothing....and now this

Had a Blue Moon (American beer in the style of Leffe but with most of the taste removed) and am now half way through the complimentary bottle of red wine. Poor Mr C is still in his boring conference. Best save some for him.
