Beefs season still full of questions after opening night. Empty Beefs season still full of questions after opening night.

So following the first 2 games the Beefs still don't really know where the team stands. A 3-2 loss to the Ducks followed by a 5-4 win over the Crunch show they are at least not being blown out like in preseason however the goals against are still too high for a team with playoff ambitions.

Still there were some vast improvements with Heatley collecting 4 points and most of the big names stepping up. The game against the Ducks was a very tight battle with shots almost dead even then they really took it to the Crunch outshooting them 52-33 in a game that saw new signing Curtis Joseph beat his former team.

Cujo signed in the off season on the promise that he would receive more starts than with his former team who had him buried in the farm.

'A guy like Cujo deserves to be with the pros' GM Homer said of his new backup. 'He is a professional and the perfect compliment to help young Price carry along his development'.

That said there are still some big question marks over the goal tending position as they have been less than impressive thus far. As long as the team keep firing away at the other end however that may not be such an issue.
