My Dad owns a rally team and we often get tickets for FIA World Rally events. Block is good at this kind of thing, but can't really do it on a world stage. He's seen as a bit of a showboater.

An Jonzee, most 650bhp cars would sound ridiculous! When not wearing a helmet, I've got to wear ear defenders when in our cars.

He competed in the BRC and also in the IRC. His eyesight's going now though (at 56) so he's pretty much the brains rather than anything else. We've had a few drivers in and out. Some act like the chavs you see on a Saturday night in town with their saxos and fiestas, and some are scared of hitting the 100 mark.

You only need look at the FIA World Rally Championship leaderboards to see how well Block does with the big boys.

1. Sebastien Loeb - FRANCE - 145pts
2. Mikko Hirvonen - FINLAND - 107pts
3. Petter Solberg - NORWAY - 90pts
4. Mads Ostberg - NORWAY
5. Evgeny Novikov - RUSSIA
6. Jari-Matti Latvala - FINLAND
7. Martin Prokop - CZECH REPUBLIC
8. Thierry Neuville - BELGIUM
9. Dani Sordo - SPAIN
10. Nasser Al-Attiyah - QATAR

20. Ken Block - USA - 4pts

By the time he retired last year, service crew (me and about 4 mates) were able to change a full set of wheels, a petrol fill, a radiator top up, and an oil top up in under 3 mins. Cool

I'm the network admin and I get no end of issues from medical secretaries who save stuff in the wrong folders, delete them accidentally and try to both open the same voice file.

To be honest (and I'm sure you'll agree) if it was my full-time role to support Speechexec, then I'd be able to train the staff a lot better, and they'd be more efficient. Since it's 1 of 11 applications I look after, then I don't get to spend as much time as I'd like changing the behaviours of the users.

And as for 90's WRC, Lancia Delta HF Integrale FTW.

Yeah although my situation is a little different, I supply support for many companies but mostly other software besides Speechexec, we only have a couple of clients who really use that. My pain stems from plain stupidity from the masses for the most part Smile

Integrale was one of my favourites! I went to an Italian car show for my 21st birthday and the field was full of them....I was in heaven!

Also the Ford RS200 is another of my favourites Smile
