Can't it be both? I hate Perry more than I hate Avery and it was definitely a douche move. Still made me laugh just like Avery's unique approach to being a net front presence made me laugh.
The difference between the two is Avery was also a douche off the ice and did things to piss his own team off. Perry leaves his doucheness on the ice from what I have seen.
