First game tonight against the hosts Latvia! Face-off at 17:30 GMT, live on ESPN and BBC 5 Live Sports Extra.

Big ask for GB, but if they turn up and play their best, you never know.

The other two teams in the group are France and Kazakhstan.

GO GB!

You know, I've got a feeling we will loose a tight game to Latvia, beat the French and it will all depend on a the result against Khazakstan. I am assuming this is how it works?

Only the group winners go through. A tight loss wouldn't spell disaster for GB, but would then need the French or the Borats to beat Latvia.

2-1 Latvia after one. GB more than held their own 5 on 5.

Yep, they created some good chances there! Just need to stay out of the box. Latvia are too powerful to give chances to.

I have several Dallas players in my fantasy team and no Flames. That should tell you what I think of our current roster. Although we have played fairly well recently with not much luck. If Kipper isn't out for too long I'm still hopefull...

GB are doing ok. Decent defence and a few good shots on net.
