Bugger - I haven't got a clue then.

Re: Sequence Quizzing
Abel is dead. Lindsay must be bloody old but now you mention it I do remember him being honoured not that long ago (though that may be for being dead). The dude you are looking for is about same age as Lindsay so again if he is alive he is old old. Delvecchio is also of the same agish. Howe is 80+ but I know still alive. Basically they are all old and so chances are they could be dead (that isn't what the sequence is btw!)

Re: Sequence Quizzing
Then it must be Terry Sawchuk as he would be old if he wasn't dead, and like Iggy was thinking retired number dates

Spot on Iggster. Now find that missing captain. I chose this period because they were all famous. I've said half his name a dozen times already.

Im guessing most points for a player who never won the Stanley Cup. Marcel Dionne must be high on that list?

Re: Sequence Quizzing
Nope and nope although interestingly the player I am looking for didn't win the cup either....
Re: Sequence Quizzing
Is it something to do with the fact they are all picked first overall? If so, I'm thinking Owen Nolan was around that time...

Bingo! They are the first players drafted outside of Quebec.
Re: Sequence Quizzing
Oh that was it - I was thinking maybe it was a Modano love in again - was he drafted in Montreal? Blimey.

Re: Sequence Quizzing
Must be draft positions of players who have won a trophy. I know Datsyuk was drafted 171st over all so im guessing its something hes won which must be the Lady Byng.
Assuming the above is correct then the answer is St Luis who was undrafted
