Double one timer

Post by mc_homer on Thu Jan 19, 2012 10:25 pm

Cheeky little play by Western Michigan where one guy fakes a one timer so the guy behind him can blast it....

Clever! Would have saved it for a big moment though. Probably won't be able to try that one again.

Makes you wonder what else you could double up on. A double wrap around would look awesome.

Oh and also, Kyle always doubles up on everything. (except training)

Either it's a trick play, or the 1st dude can't hit a slapper for shit and the man behind him knows this.

That is genius! Two players behind the net both going for the wraparound at the same time. Which one has the puck?! A goalie's nightmare. lol

I've always thought there is more scope for clever set plays in team sports - and hockey is no exception.

I suppose the fast flowing nature of the sport doesn't allow the situation to arise too often.

I dunno. I reckon it wouldn't be too difficult to tee this up occasionally on a power play - especially if the other team collapses down low.

Flying V wouldn't work against a team like the Bruins. Lucic would just think he was at the bowling ally.

Unless of course the goalie can rip himself in two to cover both posts, which I'm sure is a possibility. Severe groin injury methinks

Lucic bowling sounds like a very good NHL arcade game
