Very nice email but I think they may have just dropped the ball with this contract with PS and we can do very little to change that. I'm hoping that piracy or VPN's will solve the problem but it is is sad that we are forced into stuff like that when the service was working perfectly last year.
That's the thing, a contract is a contract so I doubt anything we do will make a blind bit of difference but if things on playoffs are undecided then I hope the NHL realise what they are doing.
I watch a lot of games live but I found myself more and more last season watching the games the next morning so I am with you on that 48 hr thing being rather stupid.
Re: NHL Gamecenter
Often Flames games are still in progress when i get up for work. Watching live just isn't an option.

Have you tried viewing things that may be blocked in the UK? I might get that for hockey games. It's dirt cheap.
Re: NHL Gamecenter
Ive not tried it with gamecenter yet. I can test it on Saturday night and ill let you know if it works.

Re: NHL Gamecenter
They can't possibly blackout that many playoff games, they wont have the time for the first rounds at least but yeah looks like VPN's are going to become a lot more popular I just hope they work.

What a BS response......
Hello,
At this moment black out restrictions apply for Regular Season and Stanley Cup Playoffs + Finals for the following countries the United States, Canada and the UK.
In the United States games on NBC, NBC Sports and NHL Network will be blacked out
In Canada games on TSN, TSN2, CBC and NHL Network will be blacked out
Also in the United States and Canada, local market team blackouts apply on all games, you can find what teams you are blacked out for here http://www.nhl.com/ice/ziplookup.htm
In the UK games on Premier Sports will be blacked out. There are no local market team blackouts for the UK.
At this time no other countries have blackout restrictions. If you are still unsure of the blackout situation in your area, please let us know and we will be further assist you.
Thank You

Re: NHL Gamecenter
As did I hopefully we can find a VPN that works. I saw a thread somewhere that suggests the location check only occurs when you start up the feed. So starting the VPN connecting then closing it should work. That could be helpful as most VPN's or at least any I have used run at quite a low speed.

That reply is clearly a copy and paste job!
Have you been reading HFBoards too paddy? I have seen the exact same thing, so it does look like it should work. I tested the connect and disconnect technique on a different site last night and it worked. Hopefully Gamecentre is the same.

I think its bugged, although for the Penguins game I'm not getting the blackout message but it is taking ages to connect to the game.

Disconnecting the VPN after the feed connects works! So that will help with your speed
